According to the Washington Post, only .1% of Latino, 4.5% of Asian, and 7% of Black students attend a school system where the portion of teachers of their race equals or exceeds the percentage of students of that race. For this reason, CCE has taken a multi-pronged, community-centered approach to address this challenge by providing multiple pathways to become an educator and disrupting education through reciprocity, innovation and creativity.

CCE’s independent research is committed to exploring the challenges facing public education through our signature approach of listening first. CCE’s research supports the community-school partnerships we work alongside, guides discussion and influences decision-making around education policy and practice.
