CPTP Teacher Mentor Network Equity Hour 4
The upcoming TMN Equity Hours Series focuses on the work of former Oakland High School teacher, now CSU San Francisco professor, Dr Jeff Duncan Andrade. Dr. Andrade is also the founder of the Roses in Concrete Community Responsive Lab School. His videos will offer us the opportunity to consider: The difference between "schooling" and "educating;" Reflect on if the United States is in fact, as some suggest, a true meritocracy if there are such disparate education outcomes; Explore what are the root causes of disparate education outcomes; Consider community responsive -vs - culturally responsive education practices; and much more. I hope you will join this series and come ready to interact and build community with other members of the Teacher Mentor Network, to share our stories, explore, and learn together.
